The VTS is responsible for:

Receiving/processing the GPS satellite signals, computing the position, speed, direction and other GPS parameters;
It also senses, digitizes the fuel information by interfacing with the vehicle electronics;
Packetizing and uploading the above information to the Telematics servers over GPRS;
The device comes with a mini keypad for panic button and voice call actions;

In case there is a temporary loss of GPRS connectivity, the unit will log the data in internal memory and upload the same once connectivity is restored. Unit has capability to record a log of up to 48 hours of data;
